The Springfield Historic District is located slightly northwest of the center of Jacksonville. It features many Victorian era homes and new construction that mirrors the community’s look and feel. Over two thirds of the homes in the area were built before 1921.
Today the area is experiencing a revitalization in home construction as well as its commercial thoroughfares of Main St. and Eighth St.
